Approaching the two year anniversary since the PINAY POWER II (PPII) gathering in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal) at McGill University, we invite past participants and interested students, scholars, and community members to join us once again as we share reflections and continue to mobilize and build in our respective groups and spaces.
“Emergent Filipina/x Feminisms: Reflections in Reciprocity and Solidarities” is a two-part event offering us an opportunity to (re)connect. The two events focus on youth-centered and intergenerational dialogues and knowledge sharing, alongside virtual community building opportunities with those interested in intergenerational Filipina/x feminist solidarity work. Reflecting on our shared experiences with the 2019 gathering in Montreal, we turn towards our lives today in 2021 amid a global pandemic, to share stories, connect with each other, and renew our commitments in feminist solidarity work that centers collective care and reciprocity.
