Join us for a one-day professional development workshop for womxn and non-binary student-scholars of colour in academia. This event brings together Filipina/x students and professors from across the diaspora, as well as womxn and non-binary students of colour in Tiohtià:ke / Montreal. Our aim to cultivate a safe(r) space to discuss, validate, and support the experiences of womxn and non-binary students and scholars of colour in the academy.

NOTE: CLOSED EVENT
This event is for womxn-identified and non-binary students (or recent graduates) of colour only. In other words, BIPOC womxn and non-binary folx! Event organizers will communicate this at the registration desk.

Workshop:Wouldn’t it be cool if…? Culturally Responsive Community Development

For 13 years, the members of Aksyon Ng Ating Kabataan (ANAK) Inc. continue to empower youth and give Filipino-Canadians a platform to tell their own stories. In this workshop you will meet and exchange with the diverse group of volunteers that make sh*t happen.


All are welcome to join us for a Côte-des Neiges community walk and dinner afterwards.


4:45PM – 6:00PM | PINOYVILLE WALKING TOUR

Join us for a walking tour of Pinoyville in Côte-des-Neiges! Two 30 minute tours will be given at either 4:45PM or 5:20PM. Tours will depart from the Immigrant Workers Center 4755 avenue Van Horne Suite 110. The tours will be led by Tess Tesalona from PINAY Quebec.
